One approach is via Tako Street in Akademija. The official trail description advises driving along it to the garages and looking for information panels at the start. From the city and district cycle path, turn towards the electrical substation and continue to the trail entrance.
The route has steps with a channel alongside them for wheeling a bicycle. Bear this in mind if bringing a bike or pushchair: the connection to a cycle path does not mean the entire nature trail is level.
